We are raising money to bounce back and grow in 2021-22, doubling the number of children we served pre-COVID. And with your help we will continue to to grow, connecting and supporting children around the world–because every child should have the opportunity to dream.

Enjoy this spectacular celebration, launching a global movement brought to life by the power of dreams.

We BEGIN… with the voice of J. Warren Mitchell and the words of “I Dream A World” by Langston Hughes.

Music by Rosephanye Powell.

I dream a world where man
No other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth
And peace its paths adorn
I dream a world where all
Will know sweet freedom’s way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day.

A world I dream where black or white,
Whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head
And joy, like a pearl,
Attends the needs of all mankind-
Of such I dream, my world!

About Dreamline

Dreamline is a nonprofit that works with children all over the world.

The Dreamline experience involves creating a piece of art on a banner meant to capture a child’s dream. But that is a small part of what Dreamline provides.

Dreamline engages empathy, deepens awareness, celebrates identity, builds courage, and develops purpose. It is a  global movement brought to life by the power of dreams.

Dreamline is an incredibly adaptable experience and is for every age. But all Dreamline experiences consist of four core components: LISTEN, REFLECT, CREATE, and SHARE, and always result in each student creating their very own Dream Banner.

We begin by creating a safe environment for young people to listen. Students explore the “heart space,” the things that matter most to themselves and others, in an open and non-judgmental way.

Next, we reflect to identify and articulate our values such as honesty, respect, and love. We discuss our own stories and visions of positive change. We learn about the United Nations  Sustainable Development Goals, and how our dream fits in with this global vision of our world’s wellbeing.

Dreamline encourages students to take a leap of faith when they create their own Dream Banner. We dig deep for the words and art to share our selves, and we find that everyone has a dream.

In their physical form and connected to a line, Dream Banners inspire hope, rekindle intentions, and symbolize connection. Digital forms join a virtual Dreamline that spans the world  through Dreamline’s mobile app and online platforms.  Annual events and Dream Horizon programming help us stay connected and focused on what matters most going forward.
