Dreamline @ New Jersey Educators Conference

Board members Jeffrey Harlan and Barbara Bassett and intern Meghan Zhang, a sophomore at Drexel University, represented Dreamline at the 2025 New Jersey Education Association Convention at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Thursday, November 6, and Friday, November 7. Approximately 20,000 New Jersey K-12 teachers, counselors and administrators attended the conference, so this was a wonderful opportunity to engage with a lot of teachers, spread the word about what an uplifting and impactful program Dreamline is for students, and encourage teachers to bring the program to their schools.

Our booth was filled with banners students had made from as near as Camden, NJ, and Philadelphia and across the world, including China, Iran and Haiti. Teachers who stopped by were moved by the dreams students shared on their banners, and all remarked on how being able to have a place for students to give voice to their concerns and hopes for a better world and to have a tangible action to effect change was so important today. They were excited that students could connect their dreams with others from around the world and have the sense of being part of a global community. Many teachers brought their families to the conference, and we were able to invite them to make their own mini Dream Banners so they could add their voices to Dreamline’s collective vision for a better world. We interacted with hundreds of teachers during the course of the two days, and several teachers have already signed up to bring the Dreamline program to their schools. We are excited to welcome more New Jersey student dreams to Dreamline.
