Volunteer Opportunities

Saturday, March 14, 2026 12-2:00 pm and 5:15-6:00 pm

Please complete the form to join our dreamline.org volunteer team to install the more than 200 Dreamline Banners created by Philadelphia regional students in collaboration with this concert of music based on the work of Langston Hughes.

The installation will be in the Rufus Jones Room of the Friends Center at 1501 Cherry Street.  We will be building Dream Booths (PVC pipe constructions with clear directions) and putting up the 200 Banners on Dreamlines created for this concert. The room has two glass walls and we will probably be putting up Banners along those areas as well.

We may also have jobs the week before the event that can be done at any time…attaching Banners to ribbon, for example.

Last Year's Fantastic King Day Crew!

Once again we will be part of the program at the Global Citizen King Day of Service Main Event. In the past they have had as many as 5,000 attendees who show up to do service. We give them an opportunity to do that!

Dreamline volunteers support event volunteers to stay busy and enthusiastic.

We will need help with two shifts this year, each one 2.5 hours long. You can also do both!

ACTIVITIES

INFO DESK: We will have a Dreamline info table to help people learn about who we are and what we do. We’ll have at least 1 experienced Dreamline person on it and you can help out.

TRAVEL PAK ASSEMBLY LINE: You can help event attendees to create Dreamline Travel Paks. These are materials packages to be sent out to schools this year. You help them package markers, assemble a Dreamline, and pack it up in a Travel Pak bag for mailing.

DREAM BANNER TABLE: Students and others attending will be invited to sit down and create their own Dreamline Banner. You provide materials and encouragement.
